WASHINGTON, DC -- Congressman Ander Crenshaw, a member of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, today (5/7) encouraged Fourth Congressional District high school students interested in attending any of the nation’s service academies to attend Military Service Academy Day, on Saturday, May 12 at Mandarin High School at 1 p.m.
“Northeast Florida students have been some of the best and the brightest. I strongly encourage interested students to attend Military Service Academy Day where they and their parents can learn more about our nation’s military service and perhaps open a door to attending one of the nation’s finest educational institutions,” said Crenshaw. “On Saturday, there will be a one hour presentation followed by one-on-one sessions with academy officials about academic programming and the process involved with being accepted to the schools. Our service academies are vital in preparing today’s youth to assume the responsibility and skills required to become our future military leaders, and I’m always proud to help show them the way to attend.”
