On Veterans Day, Crenshaw Honors WWII Army Rangers and Recognizes Houston Companies Dedicated to Employing Vets

HOUSTON, TX – Congressman Dan Crenshaw announced he introduced the United States Army Rangers Veterans Of World War II Congressional Gold Medal Act. The legislation would award the Congressional Gold Medal collectively to the U.S. Army Rangers, who fought with valor and gallantry in World War II. The medal recognizes these veterans for their extraordinary service.

Additionally, Crenshaw congratulated five Houston companies who were recognized by the Department of Labor for their dedication to hiring veterans. These companies were recognized through the Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans (HIRE Vets) Medallion Program. The five Houston companies include: ZamCo Directional Drilling LLC, MVP United, Adaptive Construction Solutions, Inc., Occidental Petroleum, and Southeast Vocational Alliance.

“On Veterans Day we commemorate the brave men and women who served our country, past and present. We honor their unshakeable dedication and the selfless sacrifices they made along the way. Through this legislation, U.S. Army Rangers of WWII receive the recognition they have long deserved. By enacting this bill, we’re telling these veterans ‘America will never forget,’” said Crenshaw.  “Not only do we celebrate veterans on this day, but we also honor the dedication of those who care for and help the veteran community. Congratulations to the Houston-area companies who were recognized for their commitment to hiring veterans. These opportunities give veterans a new mission, team and purpose.”
