Crenshaw Statement on House Voting to Impeach the President

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Dan Crenshaw released the following statement and video regarding tonight’s vote to impeach President Donald Trump:

Tonight’s vote cements Democrats’ true intentions since day one of Trump’s presidency: removing him from office.

“Congress has wasted three months with biased, opaque impeachment proceedings that resulted in hearsay, assumptions and hollow allegations. During this time, Democrats allowed important legislative priorities – like national security, USMCA, an infrastructure package, improved border security, defense spending and more – to become an afterthought.

“This is a sad, irresponsible, blatantly partisan move by Democrats who, sadly, have put their political dreams ahead of the well-being of the American people. I hope this day will be remembered in the history books for what it really is – a partisan vote on the thinnest, weakest, fastest case for impeachment since our nation’s founding.”
