Congressman Crenshaw here,

This week I called out the partisan delay of necessary relief for the small business program that countless Americans rely upon to keep their payrolls whole. I also visited a coronavirus testing site in Houston and continue to push for a solution to make China pay for allowing this global pandemic to spread.

As a reminder to Texans in the Second District, I have established a resource page on my website to keep our community updated on the latest developments. The page provides tips from the CDC on how to stay healthy, additional resources for more information about coronavirus, and updates on the federal response to this situation. Please visit crenshaw.house.gov/coronavirus-resources for more information.

Please reach out to my offices if you have a concern, want to hear what we’re working on in Congress, or are having trouble with a federal agency. I have a full team in Texas and in the nation's capital ready to assist you. Be sure to stay up to date by following me on TwitterFacebook, and YouTube. For a behind-the-scenes look, follow my staff's official Instagram account.

Now, let's catch up.
Congress finally passes small business relief

Help is on the way for our small businesses. Finally. It DID NOT have to take this long. Unfortunately, Democrats engaged in predictable partisan delay.

I took to the House floor yesterday to make it clear that leaders should be willing to come to work and do their jobs, not look for excuses to stay in hiding and play politics. We should have refunded the small business program a week ago. But Democrats held up this bill for other programs that were not out of funding. It's time stop playing political games with coronavirus relief during this historic crisis. Click here or on the image to watch.

improving coronavirus testing in houston
?Increasing our testing capacity will help us identify future outbreaks and reopen the economy and get people back to work. I saw first hand the great progress we’re making in Texas to do just that thanks to the hardworking people on the front lines.

We are conducting thousands of tests every day in Houston, which is critical to our efforts to get back to normal. I wrote about the importance of testing in a recent op-ed in the Houston Chronicle, and was glad to see that Houston is steadily improving our testing capacity to ensure we can reopen our economy sooner than later.

Empowering americans to seek justice against china

The Chinese Communist Party allowed the coronavirus to spread across the world. Their lies and coverup cost countless American lives and livelihoods. So how can we hold President Xi and his communist regime accountable?

I've teamed up with Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) on legislation that would empower Americans to seek justice against China's government. We wrote about our bill to make China pay in a recent FOX News op-ed.  Click here to read more.
