This week, President Trump gave his third State of the Union Address. My bipartisan amendment to provide relief to Texans recovering from Harvey passed the House (view the press release here).

STATE OF THE UNION
This Tuesday was the State of the Union, where the President focused on the things Americans care about most: growing the economy, creating jobs, lowering health care costs, securing our borders, and keeping America safe. It was an uplifting speech that Republicans and Democrats alike should applaud.
This week we also released the first episode of our new series - Talkin' to Texans! Who better to help us kick off our new series than Houston Police Narcotics Division? We were so glad to have them here in the nation's capital to receive well-deserved awards for all their hard work keeping dangerous drugs off our streets. Thank you for your service to our community.
This Tuesday I spent time with Rep. Brian Mast talking to Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade about how our past missions in uniform shape our current mission in Congress: serving our constituents. For me, the military was a calling and so was coming to Congress.
