Crenshaw Releases Statement On The Departure of Secretary Nielsen

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Dan Crenshaw released the following statement in response to the resignation of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen:

“Secretary Nielsen has been a great partner in our efforts to secure the southern border," said Crenshaw.  "I’m grateful for her leadership and commitment to getting our border agents the resources they need to enforce our laws, despite the many challenges that accompany that goal. I’m confident we are in good hands with Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection Kevin McAleenan. His experience leading CBP will be an asset as we work to address the border crisis that is worsening every day. I look forward to working with him to implement common sense, expert-led solutions.”
